The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as it can be with jeans and a tee shirt.
One of the largest evolutions for the Rolex Datejust model lineup was at the end of the 1970s with the introduction of the first "flat dial" Datejust. The movement was vastly upgraded to the Rolex cal. 3035 quick-set movement. These Datejust variations are often referred to as "transitional" as they still feature the more classic acrylic crystals and tritium lume whilst housing many advancements.

CASE & BRACELET
The exquisite and exceptionally well-preseved unpolished case features crisp factory finishing with defined edges and thick dimensions. The case exhibits gentle signs of use. The unpolished 18K yellow gold case is also in excellent and very crisp condition, showing subtle signs of previous use. The case back retains its original green Rolex sticker that shows gentle age. The original Rolex 62523H 18 two-tone Jubilee bracelet with 455J end pieces retains 20 link that show minimal stretch and will fit up to a 7 1/4-inch wrist.
DIAL & HANDS
The original and simply gorgeous champange "linen" dial is in virtually flawless condition, showing no damage or age. The tritium lume plots feature a bright eggshell patina that is accentuated by the gold markers perfectly, under U.V. light inspection the lume plots display no degradation. The original yellow gold tritium hands match the dial perfectly and exhibit sutble oxidation which is very common, the tritium lume exhibits no degradation. The metallic gold date wheel is original with open 6's and 9's.
