The South African Police 2nd Pattern Camouflage, introduced in the 1970s, was an updated version of the 1st Pattern, designed for enhanced concealment in urban and rural environments. Retaining the foliage motif with modified colors and fabric, it became standard for SAP units, including specialized forces like the Special Task Force, until the reorganization into the South African Police Service (SAPS) and their discontinuation of camouflage uniforms in 2004.
This shirt features two button-flap chest pockets, a lightweight fabric for warmer temperatures, button-adjustable cuffs and a button-up front.
