The Omega Speedmaster Professional is by far one of our most favorite chronographs. The Speedmaster has an incredible history starting with automotive racing moving into flight and eventually to NASA and the U.S. Space Program. There are many subtle differences within the vintage Omega Speedmaster range of references that make them all slightly unique and different. This specific example is no exception as you will find that this 1974 Omega Speedmaster professional possesses the rare commemorative straight writing "moon watch" case back (145.022-69 inside) which was produced from 1970 to 1973.

CASE & BRACELET
The excellent thick case that has some patina from use but remains in unpolished condition. The original bezel insert has taken on wonderful and deep charcoal fade. This specific example bears the rare commemorative straight writing "moon watch" casebook (145.022-69 inside) which was produced from 1970 to 1973.The case back writing is deep and very clear although the majority of the paint has disappeared from being worn but it is in original as found condition. The watch will be supplied on a premium NATO strap
DIAL & HANDS
The original step dial was replaced at some point with a correct modern Omega service replacement dial and the hands have also been replaced but are matching to the creamy lume plots which glow intensely when exposed to light.
ACCESSORIES
None. Watch was recently serviced and is running at COSC Spec backed by a 1-year warranty on movement.
