The Seamaster is one of the most well-rounded wristwatches not only from Omega but from the watch world at large. In stainless steel, as we usually find them, it's the perfect everyday timepiece. The example before you though is not one that we usually see, though the case could easily be made for its everyday use. You see, the ref. 166.0032 is gold-filled, giving the usual cold steel Seamaster a warmth we didn't even know it was missing. Add in that the 166.0032 is powered by the robust and reliable Cal. 752, a 24 jewel, 40-hour power reserve, and quickset date automatic movement, and the case for daily wear makes itself.

CASE & BRACELET

The 36.5-millimeter case is, as discussed, gold-filled. It features, and beautifully we might add, a mix of brushed and polished finishes, giving the watch a subtle glow. The Seamaster has a matching, Omega signed crown, a steel case back, and most fantastically, an Omega signed matching gold filled bracelet.

DIAL & HANDS

The dial continues the theme in shimmering gold. The markers are gold. The hands are gold. Even the wide set day and date are on glinting gold wheels. For legibility purposes, Omega added striking black inlays on the markers and hands, as well as a fine black seconds track on the outer edge of the dial. Subtly be damned.
